Saturday Lotto’s $4 million prize pool was shared by two winners nationally. One winning entry was sold in Jamberoo in NSW and the other winning entry was sold in Victoria.
Each of the winning entries scored $2 million.
As the owner of the winning ticket, purchased in Jamberoo, is a registered member of the NSW Lotteries Players Club, officials will try to contact the winner by telephone to inform them of their windfall.
The winning ticket was purchased from Jamberoo Newsagency at Shop 2, 18 Allowrie Street, Jamberoo.
“I was very pleased when I found out we sold one of the winning tickets in Saturday’s Lotto. I’m very happy for the winner whoever they are. I must admit that I really would love to see it go to a local,” Andrew Waugh from Jamberoo Newsagency said today.
“This is the biggest win we’ve sold here at Jamberoo Newsagency. The biggest before this was two $100,000 wins in the Jackpot Lottery. So it’s not too shabby for a little town like Jamberoo,” Mr Waugh added.
The winning numbers from Saturday night’s $4 million Lotto draw were 32, 41, 18, 44, 31 and 24, with the supplementary numbers 14 and 4.
