(Powerball) The jackpot in America’s favorite lottery game continues to climb. Even though the grand prize was not awarded Saturday (25 July 2009) evening, two lucky tickets sold in Louisiana (1), and Oregon (1) matched all 5 white numbers with the Power Play and won $1 million cash each. This was a result of the new Power Play feature that turns any match 5 white ball win with the Power Play into a 5X multiplier and pushes the prize up to $1 million cash! Five other lucky tickets in Florida (1), Colorado (2), Pennsylvania (1), and Missouri (1) matched all 5 white ball numbers without the multiplier for a sensational $200,000 cash win on each. In addition, 654,667 tickets across the nation won a total of $8,480,996 in prizes.
Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $102 million!
The cash option for the Wednesday, July 29th drawing will be an estimated $50.6 million.

Eight other lucky tickets in Arizona (1), Connecticut (1), Florida (1), Iowa (1), Louisiana (2), North Carolina (1), and Tennessee (1) matched all 5 white ball numbers without the multiplier for a sensational $200,000 cash win on each. In addition, 584,400 tickets across the nation won a total of $7,295,209 in prizes.
Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Wednesday’s drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $88 million!

The current jackpot record is set at €100,756,197.30 and was won on the 23 October 2008. The jackpot for tomorrow nights draw is estimated to be a massive €97,800,000.00 after it rolled over on Thurday (16 July 2009).
