Cessna Citation 10 Takes to the skies for it’s first flight

Cessna’s new Citation 10 business jet took the to the skies for the its first test flight on Tuesday, 17th January 2012.  The test flight went smoothly with they performed a variety of tests on the aircraft systems.

The Citation 10 is an upgraded version Cessna’s popular Citation X. It features improved engines, new Garmin avionics and comes  standard with winglets.

Citation 10 is set to come standard with Garmin’s new G5000 integrated flight deck system which is the first touchscreen glass flight deck designed for Part 25 business jets.

Elizabeth Taylor’s Diamond Fetches $8.8 Million

The diamond formaly known as the Krupp diamond, originally belonged to the Krupp family but was later sold on auction to Richard Burton  in 1968 and givento Elizabeth Taylor. Burton  paid $305,000.

This precious stone was renamed as the ‘Elizabeth Taylor’ diamond. The stone weighs 33.19 carat’s, it’s an emerald cut stone, it is almost perfectly colorless D and has very slight inclusion (VS1).

Elizabeth Taylor wore this diamond which was mount on a ring almost everyday.

On the 16th December, 2011 the diamond was sold for $8,818,500 on auction to a private collector from Asia.
